Happy 2024! Wait a second, the “four” sounds kind of like FIORA®, so let’s try that again… Happy 2024-ah! Ooh, almost there. What if we sound it out like this…Happy Twenty-Twenty-FIORA®! Yeah, that has a nice ring to it! And it’s a fun way for us to help you ring in the new year, so let’s get this snacks and hacks party started!

Now, if you’re anything like us, you indulged in the culinary spoils of the holidays, and we are here to say that is a-okay because ’tis literally the season to treat yourself. And since it’s a brand new year, we’re also here to help you get back on track by treating yourself to some of our favorite — and delicious — healthy snack recipes.
Easy Peas-y Roasted Chickpeas
We can’t get enough of these mighty little legumes. Protein-packed and incredibly versatile, you can roast and flavor with pretty much any spice or combination of spices you like! Our go-to crowd pleaser is a combo of salt, pepper, and garlic. Let’s go!
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Rinse and drain your chickpeas in a colander. Then pour them onto FIORA® paper towels on the counter and let them dry completely.
- On a baking sheet, arrange the chickpeas in a single layer and roast them for 35-45 minutes (or until they are golden brown and crunchy).
- Remove the baking sheet and spray or lightly drizzle them with olive oil.
- Immediately pour the oiled chickpeas into a medium to large bowl, sprinkle in your chosen spice(s), and toss them while they’re still hot.
- Let them cool to room temperature and enjoy!
Quick-Fix Veggie Tricks
If you prep it, they will eat it. And so will you. Having healthy snacks handy is half the battle, so set “future you” up for success and get to prepping. Pick a day (Sunday works nicely for us) and peel/slice carrots, celery, cucumbers, and (green/red/yellow/orange) peppers. Then divide (or combine!) and store them in glass containers lined with FIORA® paper towels, so you have fresh and tasty snacks at the ready all week long.

Now that we’re on a snack and meal prep roll, let’s talk fridge and pantry organization, so we can keep up our new healthy snack habits!
Start by evaluating each space (shelves and drawers) and how you want to organize ingredients as well as your prepared snacks/meals, so everything is easy to grab and go.
First, to make room and de-clutter, toss anything that’s almost empty or expired, and donate unopened items you and your family won’t use. Then, clean shelves and bins using FIORA® paper towels for a fresh start as you give these spaces a new sense of purpose.
Next, think through how you can create sections within both your fridge and pantry that provide dedicated space to your snack and meal-prep ingredients, as well as the prepped meals and snacks that are ready to roll, so you (and the family) can quickly find what you need when you need it.
